We are offering 2 more courses over the next year for Therapist Continuing Education:

Feeding the Whole Child: A Mealtime Approach" which is described at  http://new-vis.com/ws/p-feedwholechild.htm and will be taught by Suzanne Evans Morris, Ph.D. October 29-30th, 2010.

Judith Bierman, PT, DPT will be teaching the Therapeutic Ball course on January 7th and 8th, 2011.

Our goal is high quality care provided when the need is identified.

We currently have 45 therapists on our staff and will be adding to this soon. There are 5 new staff starting in the next month. We are currently calling all patients on the PT and OT list within a month but the speech referrals are taking longer. I hope to get this under control with the new therapists coming on board.

The new addition is complete and we have filled it completely. Our next addition is already under way with plans being initiated for facilities outdoors. We are certified as a Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program Registered Facility by Delta Society and have recently certified teams for use in complex environments such as our clinic. We are scheduling the dogs for patient care times according to their team skills, strengths, and endurance. It is so exciting to see the kids strive harder and motivate with the animals in the clinic. All of the teams are tested by a group of certified people for areas necessary for their success and safety in this complex interaction environment.

We do have areas supplied for children who are allergic to the animals so no problems are created for them through exposure to animal dander or fur.

We are in the new building located on Winkler Avenue.
